The VScan upgrade to a dual probe expands the market for this machine a great deal. The VScan is now a very versatile portable ultrasound machine for triage, quick evaluation, and a host of other ultrasound imaging situations. This is more than just a “cool” factor and has become a truly useful diagnostic ultrasound tool and some modes are reimbursable per GE’s claims.

GE Vscan with Dual Probe Review:
The GE Vscan with Dual Probe is a screening and procedure assistant tool. However, by adding a liner probe option on the other side, the GE Vcan with Dual Probe has extended its clinical coverage , especially procedure guidance field and near field screening. Though it is amazing, such a small piece of hardware having limitation due to its screen size, image quality, features and imaging modes. It is an assististing tool. Due to the technical limitation, the GE Vscan with Dual Probe only provdes B mode and Color Doppler mode, However, considering the target of this tool, the GE Vscan with Dual Probe can assist better qualified and trained health care professionals with enabling visualization and measurement of anatomical structures and fluid. The GE Vscan with Dual Probe freely works with PC software so that health professionals can use it with low barriers in their PC OS environements. Recently, APP based ultrasound option on commercial mobile phone become available; but it is not well stablized yet. The Siemens P10 was only one competitor, but now it is out of production and service.
