The ULTRAcel Q+ treatment works by delivering high frequency ultrasound waves, generated from a transducer into the tissue to produce heat at a focal point (HIFU). HIFU does not cause epidermal damage. It promotes collagen denaturation and regeneration by raising the tissue temperature.

Ultracel Q+ has two type of cartridges. With the dot cartridge, each dot delivers focused high intensity energy that reaches about 65°C. This temperature is optimal for stimulating collagen which is beneficial for skin elasticity and skin tightening. The linear cartridge delivers bulk heating to a wider area. This is effective for volume reduction.
