Key features
  • Adult and pediatric use: The AED Plus can be used on adults and children. It can be adapted for children up to 8 years old or weighing less than 55 pounds (25 kg) by purchasing separate Pedi-padz® II electrodes.
  • CPR-D-padz® electrodes: These are a unique, one-piece electrode pad system for quick and accurate placement on the patient’s chest. They have a 5-year shelf life.
  • Rugged design: The unit has an Ingress Protection (IP) rating of IP55, meaning it is highly resistant to dust and water and can withstand harsh environments.
  • Long-lasting consumables: The pads and batteries both have a long standby life of 5 years, which reduces maintenance needs and the overall cost of ownership. The device runs on consumer lithium batteries (Type 123a), which can be more cost-effective than proprietary alternatives.
  • Automatic self-test: The device automatically tests its internal components to ensure it is always ready for use.
  • Semi-automatic vs. fully automatic: The AED Plus is available in both semi-automatic and fully automatic models. The fully automatic version will deliver a shock on its own after a countdown, while the semi-automatic version requires the rescuer to push a button.
